Firedance Design is a freelance web design business set up by myself, James Stevens.

I first began web design a few years back, creating my first corporate site with nothing but a copy of Windows Notepad and a HTML book to guide me along. As time went by I developed and enhanced my web and graphic design skills, and became a designer for web design giant Oneview.net. There I learnt many skills and tricks of the trade to create high quality, fast loading sites.

Firedance Design is different from most other web design companies in a number of ways.

Firstly, I believe my pricing system gives the customer greater value. For a 4 page website I charge only £120 inc VAT, and for that you get:

Home Page
Company Profile Page
Products/Services Page
Links to email and other sites FREE
Up to 3 images per page

Normally, if you required extras, such as animation, contact forms, etc. the majority of companies would charge ridiculously high prices for them. At Firedance Design we are different. We charge only for the time taken, and nothing else. If you want animation - that's fine! We simply charge for the time it takes (which may only be a few minutes, depending on the complexity. In the past, I have seen customers charged hundreds of pounds for a bit of Flash animation that took 10 minutes to do. I believe this is wrong). Contact forms, extra pages, extra images... it can be yours without the ridiculous upgrade prices. Instead of having a bewildering array of web packages, I prefer to give you a custom made quote that fits your requirements.

If you don't have a company logo, then I can design one for you as an extra! I am also a writer, so if you are not sure how to best put your company's services into words then I can do that for you too! However, if you can supply me with images and text then you save more money, and I can spend longer on the look and feel of the site.

Upgrades can also be handled easily, if you need new images or new pages adding, then I can do that for you at no extra cost, only the time taken to do them.

At the moment we do not offer hosting, only design. If you need help with the domain name registering process, or with site uploading and updating, I can help and offer advice.
